PILLAR KAPLAN, Director
of Publicity
Laura Pillar Kaplan is the Director of Publicity
for Goldberg McDuffie Communications, Inc. In addition to
working on general non-fiction and fiction titles, Laura heads
up GMC’s Business Division. Since joining the company
in 2006, Laura has worked with a number of prominent authors,
including Jeffrey Archer (The Gospel According to Judas,
by Benjamin Iscariot), Barbara Ehrenreich (Dancing in
the Streets), Jim Kilts (Doing What Matters),
Adrian Gostick and Chester Elton (The Carrot Principle),
Michael Oren (Power, Faith, and Fantasy), G. Richard
Shell and Mario Moussa (The Art of Woo), David Zinczenko
(The Abs Diet for Women), and Kerry Patterson, Joseph
Grenny, Ron McMillan, Al Switzler, and David Maxfield (Influencer).
Before joining Goldberg McDuffie Communications
as Associate Director of Publicity, Laura was Publicity Manager
at Doubleday Broadway where she represented Roger Ebert (Great
Movies II), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (Brothers in Arms),
Carlos Ghosn (Shift), Keith Ferrazzi (Never Eat
Alone), Ann Louise Gittleman (The Fast Track One-Day
Detox Diet), Linda Kaplan Thaler and Robin Koval (The
Power of Nice), and Ed Viesturs (No Shortcuts To
The Top). She began her career at Planned Television
Arts, a division of Ruder Finn and worked in both their New
York and Chicago offices. Laura graduated from Indiana University’s
Kelley School of Business with a BS in Marketing and International
Studies. |
