Fall of 2008 will be the Season of Alex Kava. Her eighth psychological thriller, EXPOSED, will be published in October. Her backlist will be re-issued in August with stunning new covers, and the paperback edition of Whitewash, the eco-thriller USA Today called “a perfect summertime escape,” will be released in September.

Kava has built a reputation writing novels that are “haunting and complex” (Orlando Sentinel), “winning” (Washington Post Book World, “a refreshing read” (Publishers Weekly), and “shrewd” (Cleveland Plain Dealer). They consistently hit the New York Times extended and USA Today bestsellers lists and have been published in 22 countries all over the world. Critics and fans alike have cheered on her series heroine, FBI Special Agent Maggie O’Dell, whom Library Journal called “gutsy and appealing.” Now, Kava brings back O’Dell in a fifth installment, EXPOSED, in which her character faces her most confounding and complex case to date – viral terrorism orchestrated by a killer who copycats the methods of historic real-life monsters—the Tylenol killer, Unabomber, Anthrax killer. A gripping tale that sweeps from Uganda, Africa to Washington DC to North Platte, Nebraska to Pensacola Florida to Chicago, Illinois, EXPOSED challenges readers to ask themselves tough, real-life “what if” questions even as it entertains.
